Graduated from the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences with a degree in History. He also has additional education in theology and music. He teaches history and art history, develops cultural and educational projects, and writes articles on history and cultural studies. Ivan’s many years of experience working with choirs allow him to reveal the connections between history, painting, architecture, and music.

A three-month original course for those who want to learn how to understand art and confidently navigate its eras, styles, and key figures.
We will trace the development of world culture from antiquity to the present day, explore the work of outstanding artists and composers, learn to recognize different artistic movements, and understand how historical events, philosophy, and society have shaped art.
Painting, architecture, and music will not be presented as separate disciplines, but as a single, living dialogue between eras. The programme includes analyses of famous works, musical excerpts, visual materials, discussions, and surprising facts.
