SYNERJOY Choir is an adult mixed choir based in Limassol, led by conductor Viktoriia Kotovych.
We created it with a simple idea: you don't need to be a professional singer to perform on a big stage.
Our choir brings together people of diverse professions, ages, nationalities, and musical backgrounds. Some studied music in the past. Others started singing for the very first time right here. But at every rehearsal, everyone becomes one team.
Today, our choir includes members from many different countries and cultures: Cypriots, Belarusians, Russians, Greeks, Germans, Swiss, and other members of Cyprus's international community.
Our passports don't define us. Music does.
We don't rehearse just for the sake of rehearsing.
A choir is meant to perform.
That is why, from the very beginning, SYNERJOY Choir has developed as a concert ensemble: we prepare programmes, participate in cultural events and festivals across Cyprus, engage in international projects and collaborations, and take to stages abroad.
During its first year, the choir performed at various venues in Cyprus and represented the island internationally.
In the summer of 2026, SYNERJOY Choir travelled to Vienna for the World Peace Choral Festival.
Over the course of several days, we performed at the Vienna City Hall, House of Strauss, MuTh, and Schubertkirche, took part in a concert at the Vienna International Centre — the UN headquarters in Vienna — and the highlight of the trip was a performance in the famous Golden Hall of the Musikverein.
We returned to Cyprus with a Silver Award. 🏆
A special feature of our international programme was the Cypriot folk song Ta Riallia in an original choral arrangement by Viktoriia Kotovych.
This is fundamental to us: as we travel the world, we want to do more than just perform from Cyprus — we want to represent Cyprus through music.
Yet the most fascinating part of this story isn't even the silver award.
It's the people who stood on that stage.
Not a professional choir formed of conservatory graduates. But people with careers, businesses, families, children, and dozens of daily responsibilities.
One day, they simply decided to give themselves permission to pursue music again — or for the very first time.
A few months later, that decision brought them to an international festival in Vienna.
We take part in choral festivals across Cyprus. We actively organise choir parties and flash mobs. We love performing at private events! We also support charitable projects.
That is why SYNERJOY Choir is more than just a choir.
It is a community of people for whom music becomes a reason to meet, grow, travel, and experience things that weren't even in their plans just yesterday.
What we sing
The SYNERJOY Choir repertoire features both classical and contemporary music: John Rutter, Karl Jenkins, Anton Bruckner, spirituals, traditional music of Cyprus, and modern pop hits.
Rather than choosing between "serious" and "popular" music, we prefer to do good music well.

Who leads the choir
Founder, artistic director, and conductor — Viktoriia Kotovych.
A choral conductor, pianist, and vocal coach, she is a laureate of international conducting competitions. She holds two master's degrees — in choral conducting and piano performance — and completed professional training at the Glinka Academy.
Her background includes working with children's, youth, and mixed choirs, as well as performances at international venues in Vienna, Prague, Paris, and Florence.
What if I've never sung in a choir before?

And our answer is: come to an audition.
You don't need to decide in advance whether "you're musical enough for a choir." That is our job — to listen to your voice, understand its capabilities, and figure out which vocal section will be the most comfortable for your development.
